Project Overview

The aesthetics of one’s house can encapsulate an owner’s ideal image of everyday living. The same concept goes in this case. The designer ingeniously applies the colors in the interior of the house. A great amount of white palette and earth tone establish the sense of warmth and comfort in the living; neat lines delineate the frames of the house, contributing to comfortable serenity at ease. The overall design philosophy not only epitomizes a minimalist living, it also reinterprets the owner’s beautiful moments of life at home, shaping it into a great harmony between gentleness and relaxation.

Project Brief

The common space is arranged in an open-plan layout, where the living room connects to the kitchen and the dining area. The white palette wall coating as the dominant color applied, expands the spatial perception. In addition, the living room TV wall and the sofa back wall merges with the ceiling’s color serves to extend the space. While curved lines are applied at the TV wall, the hollowed-out arrangement and display shelving both polish up the stifling existence of the big beam, which as well make great seamless transition to the dining area. The kitchen is designed to be semi-open. With matt metallic elements and patterned or tinted glass panels, the division is rather simple, translucent and pleasing to the eye.

Project Need

Through the ingenious arrangement of elegant colors and space, the design makes the owner’s dream of ideal living come true. With the essential natural lighting received in the interior, home is the place where one can relax and enjoy every moment in.

Design Challenge

The private spaces, on the other hand, are designed with systematic veneers of fabric-imitation texture at the headboard to create a soft warmth while making maintenance easier. The minimalist style in the common space is echoed here with three dominant colors used: black, white and blue. The changes of color shades at the headboard not only make the visual perception much lively, it also connects the bed to the study area. Under the beautiful sunlight introduced, every element interweaves into a tranquil atmosphere.

Sustainability

In this project, the designer plans a series of customized system furniture which helps maximize the efficiency of the space. The customized cabinets are detailed for the space itself and come in different designs that fit the style. This leads to an atheistically pleasing and functionally sufficient result, utilizing every corner of the room, while helping the residents not to do unnecessary purchase, therefore reduce the waste. On top of that, the green building latex paint is applied. With this material, the space is safer and better for the residents while maintaining the atheistic.
