NorthConnex

NorthConnex Shaft Building tool

Digital - Government Services | Commissioner: NorthConnex | Creator: The White Agency

NorthConnex is a new road and tunnel that is being built to connect the M1 and the M2. It will take c.4 years to build and c.24,000 residents will be disrupted to some degree during this time. The first stage of building the tunnel is building the shafts down into the ground. A method called controlled blasting was selected for the shaft excavation, and The White Agency was engaged to create a digital tool that NorthConnex staff could take to door to door consultations for people who lived within a certain radius of the shafts, to help explain what was going to happen and calm any fears, resulting in no negative publicity

Anadara, Barangaroo

Architecture - Residential - Constructed | Commissioner: Lend Lease | Creator: fjmt studio

Anadara’s unique design represents earth, water and sky, expressed by the earthy terracotta coloured façade to the south which is contrasted by a striking, white curvilinear form to the north, nicknamed ‘The Cloud.’ Our approach was to articulate this long linear building into two primary forms; a carefully scaled rectilinear form that defines the waterfront, and a more expressive and organic form to celebrate and define the public open space. These forms are combined with a linear canopy, gentle terracing and landscape to characterise the public waterfront. The ground level is predominantly retail and lobby access for the above apartments. As part of the Barangaroo South Precinct, the most significant site opportunity is the ability to reconnect the harbour to the western edge of the CBD. It’s optimum position benefits from uninterrupted views of the harbour. The public domain adjacent to the waterfront also connects back to Darling Harbour reinforcing the public connectivity and walking trail along the harbour foreshore. With its orientation to the public square, Anadara provides a dynamic public realm and encourages activity from Barangaroo through to the CBD and contributes to the liveliness of the precinct and active community along the harbours edge.

BRILLIANTLY CONNECTED FUTURE

Following Telstra’s re-brand to a world of colour and services which better represent the diversity of products customers desired, a complete overhaul of the work-place strategy was undertaken. Telstra Future Ways of Working (FWoW) is an initiative to create environments, which promote new and effective ways of collaborating for employees, consultants and clients. This new change allowed Telstra to expand and foster their industry expertise, further enabling a ‘Brilliant connected future for everyone’. BrandCulture were engaged by Telstra, onto the project team to help make this transition a reality. Located at the 400 George Street HQ, a landmark building at the intersection of Sydney’s two busiest streets, BrandCulture successfully implemented a holistic branded environment and wayfinding system to underpin Telstra’s ongoing vision.

Lendlease Apartments Brand Solution

Lendlease is a global company, with an Australian heritage and local expertise across the core markets of Australia, Asia, the Americas and Europe. We love cities and at Lendlease we’re experts at creating the best places through Urban Regeneration. Cities are constantly evolving and facing new challenges as their populations grow. Urban Regeneration allows us to help cities solve these challenges by revitalising unused and underutilised spaces and turning them into places people want to live, work and play in. Formerly, the Lendlease brand was represented through Urban Regeneration projects by a single logo, often placed on the back of a brochure. Specifically, Apartments projects within Urban Regeneration each carried their own creative toolkit, creating equity for themselves with little association with the Lendlease brand. This approach resulted in inconsistent, costly and time-consuming application. Because of the diversity of projects a solution was created, ensuring each project brand and its products had the collateral to support its marketing needs, in turn building equity for both project and Lendlease brands. Houston Group were engaged to create a flexible yet unifying solution to ‘tell and sell’ Lendlease’s broader offer, whilst being sympathetic to the nuances and uniqueness of each project.
