Project Brief

The linear design at the entrance symbolizes products of the company, running through the office area like a circuit board. Through the indication of the design, visitors are spontaneously led to the display section where the trophies symbolize the teamwork spirit of the company.
The overall white and sleek space along with the dark wooden colors from the pantry create visual tension. With the contrast of materials and textures, more layers are added to the space, and different sections of the office are framed without traditional separation walls. The tawny mirror, the glass, and the indirect lightings make the space more and spacious. The designer manages to keep the space open while reserving some privacy, creating a generous yet delicate office atmosphere.

Project Innovation/Need

This project is infused with the essence of the corporate culture and the product images. The smooth flow, the layering lights, and the surprising applications of textures and shapes altogether build a novel office that is different and novel. Workers now have more chances to communicate with their coworkers and get to know each other better. The space can also help with the long hours with the lounge room and overall chilling design. Taking a break is for accomplishing a closer team, and a brighter future.

Design Challenge

Instead of a traditional light steel joist ceiling for office space, the dropped ceiling is applied in this project. The smooth wooden curve frames the office area and connects it to the rest of the space. The overall fluidity sets up the emotional transition from work to relaxation. The semi-transparent design, combined with sufficient lightings, glass, and linear designs, builds a more comfortable environment for the workers to communicate and collaborate. The self-contained lounge room offers a place to relax and hang out with co-workers. With some space to set their mind free from work, the office environment strengthens the teamwork spirit.

Sustainability

The latex paint applied in this project is certified green building material with lower formaldehyde, which is better for human health. The semi-transparent design helps with the lighting, for sufficient daylight reduce energy consumption. With the VRV system, the room temperature can be automatically adjusted and maximizes energy savings. The designer expects to establish a new model for work through interior design. In which working focuses more on efficiency rather than formality, and a workplace can be orderly yet relaxing.
