Silver

Project Overview

Depicting the concept of a magnificent blooming spring, the designer applies lily flowers and the butterfly to create a refined, elegant charm in the ambiance. The use of stone material, silver coating, and titanium metal textures establishes quality details, while grayish-black sets the fundamental tone, silver coating embellishes, and the vibrant colors highlight. Diverse patterns of the window lattice concretize the passing time through light and shadow. Curved or interwoven lines strengthen the frames and textures in the living space.

Project Brief

In the living room, the flooring is paved with reflective tiles, while black gray squares and circles delineate the living room and the dining room into an independent area. The dining table corresponds to the recessed ceiling. With the black marble TV wall’s stone veins contrasting with the white petals, the blooming spring is reinterpreted in a modern design technique. Besides the squarish and luxurious living room area, the dark-purple curved partition leads the residents together in this common area, symbolizing the unity of a family.

Project Need

The window lattice at every corner ensures the illumination of the space while maintaining privacy. Same concept applied, the staircase railing on the other side is hollowed-out to reduce partition blocking the lighting. On the other side, the multimedia space is decorated by squarish flannel stretched cloth, triangle lights, and curved-line wall display, echoing with the rhythm of music and motion pictures. The wooden flooring and the pine green sofa make a nice visual contrast beside the grayish island, popping with its vivid color.

Design Challenge

The private area is established with a luxurious pattern and dark-colored wooden material and lattice elements. The rich colors applied offer a sense of simplicity that makes the users feel more relaxed in the space. Diverse lattice elements and linear lighting provide a rhythm that also adds translucency and fluidity to the space.

Sustainability

The project applies carbonized wooden materials to reduce the formaldehyde percentage in the living environment. The open-plan layout and the floor-to-ceiling windows allow a better ventilation and introduction of sunlight, reducing use of electricity.
