Project Overview

This is a space design that combines art, culture, and fashion, and is full of artistic beauty from inside to outside. Inspired by feathers, which are both soft and strong, this project integrates lightness and penetration into the space to create a warm residence that is as strong and bendy as a feather, full of tolerance and comfort. Like an open feather, it embraces every tired soul seeking relaxation after returning home.

Project Brief

Through the design transformation, the designer brings the form and symbol of feather into the space, using its light weighted, penetrating, and repetitive qualities as design elements. The spatial structure is presented in the form of artistic creation, so that the entrance screen, the lighting in the dining room and the bedroom walls all present like works of art.

Through the artistic display, lines and textures, art is presented in a way of living, so that the beauty of art becomes the soul of the home. The artistic form and connotation also give the space a very distinctive character, exuding a decent and cultural style of living, while art plays an important part as the attitude and aesthetics of life.

The artwork on the main wall of the dining room is the work of Taiwanese artist Reding Ho. Mr. Ho's emotionally charged brushwork echoes the starburst lighting in the space, making an artful place for families to gather.

Project Need

The designer organizes the narrow shape of the apartment to separate into three spaces, and places the sleeping rooms in the front and back, bringing out the sense of living room a larger layout. The whole mirror wall is designed on the outer wall of the dining room to create a visual effect of infinite extension of the depth of space. The starry dining room chandelier also reflects a brighter light.

Design Challenge

The rattan color scheme and bright building materials bring out a sense of luxury with simplicity. At the entrance, the designer uses a screen to increase the depth level of space and weaken the boundary of space division. In the use of materials, textured stone and jade decorations are used with light to enhance the three-dimensionality of the space and enrich its expression.

On the main wall of the bedroom, there is an artfully created feather wall. With its lighting, the feathers intermingle with the shadows and strengthen the art theme of this space. It also allows the returning mistress to enjoy the luxurious atmosphere like a phoenix, away from the hustle and bustle.

Sustainability

The space is mainly composed of natural stone, with organic coatings to reduce the generation of harmful substances. And use locally made marble in Taiwan to reduce the carbon footprint caused by shipping.
