Project Overview

In order to satisfy the wishes of the owner who is a collector of fine jewelry, this project is inspired by a jewelry box and brings the elements of fine jewelry into the space, turning it into both, a residential and exhibition space.

In this case, the designer used the favorite floral and mineral elements in jewelry design as the main design concept of the space. The designer used artful furniture and rich materials to form the overall taste and texture of the space. By deconstructing, combining, and reproducing the elements, the materials and the scale of the space are combined into one. The space is defined by different styles of furniture and furnishings, so that each area is filled with different tonal design styles. Through abstraction, a neo-classical design is brought into the space, and a delicate and artistic approach is used to create vivid, gem-like colors and geometric lines, revealing a luxurious but refined residential space.

Project Brief

The design of fine jewelry is often inspired by nature, and the main elements that make up the prism of a gemstone are geometric lines. In order to create a gorgeous residence that resembles a jewelry box, the designer transformed the elements of jewelry that make up the space. Using special techniques, organic lines with a bionic feel, strong art deco style, and handcrafted soft furnishings, the space is interpreted as luxurious through neo-classical style and abstraction.

The living room is designed in lounge style, and the TV wall is concealed. On the movable sliding door of the TV wall, the arc is formed by the line symbolizing the geometric radiation of jewelry, so that when the TV is not in use, the wall will exist like decorative art. The natural floral patterns are reinterpreted through a modern and graphic perspective, showing a different face in the space in a neo-classical form. The guest toilet is designed with overlapping layers of handcrafted feather tiles, which are knitted together in a special way to bring out the perfect delicacy of the feather edges.

The rich use of colors and materials are the aesthetic elements that make up this case. Through a realistic design approach, the designer extracted style from the jewelry elements and interpreted the entire space with a contemporary aesthetic. By incorporating the living experience of the residents and the display of jewelry at different points in time, a unique and luxurious residential style is achieved.

Project Innovation/Need

The rich use of colors and materials are the aesthetic elements that make up this case. Through a realistic design approach, the designer extracted style from the jewelry elements and interpreted the entire space with a contemporary aesthetic. By incorporating the living experience of the residents and the display of jewelry at different points in time, a unique and luxurious residential style is achieved.

Most jewelry designs use diamonds, colored gemstones, and precious metals, where texture encompasses the texture. To transform the jewelry elements into spatial elements, the designer studied various types of jewelry, styles, and textures. Finally, the value of jewelry is presented in the whole space by combining the physical luster, color, and material touch with the abstract design vocabulary. While satisfying the needs of customers, it also creates a different living space for them.

Design Challenge

In order to achieve a sapphire-like wall color, we changed several types of blue paints during the process, but we were unable to achieve the sapphire color that the designer had in mind. Finally, after mixing several shades of blue paint, the perfect blue color that desired was achieved by tryouts and became the deep sapphire-like color of the master bedroom.

The guest toilet is designed with overlapping layers of handcrafted feather tiles, which are knitted together in a special way to bring out the perfect delicacy of the feather edges.
