Project Overview
Borrowed scenery is the principle of incorporating background landscape into the composition of a garden found in traditional East Asian garden design. It helps facilitate a greater connection between your home and the surrounding views. This is an interior design project for a residence. According to the owner's daily routines and habits, the designer not only configured the three-bedroom layout but also added a multi-media room, a reading space, wine tasting area, a space for display of the homeowner’s collection, and a place to entertain the guests to meet various living styles. Through the designer's exquisite planning and organizational skills, each space is properly allocated, forming a unique relationship between distinct living areas. Upon entering the house, one will notice that each space embraces a different style and look with the change of visual angle, which is enjoyable, beautiful, and comfortable.

Project Brief
Home is a living space that embraces the various living styles of each resident. Through the designers' exquisite design and delicate planning of the spatial layout and furnishing, this project turns into a refined and elegant house with various functions. It constructs an ideal residence for homeowners.
Project Innovation/Need
In the interior space, the designer has cleverly utilized light wood veneer, metallic glass, and titanium-plated metal walls to define each area through similar color configurations and material textures while retaining distinct spatial and visual distinction. Each part of the space is carefully decorated by the designer so that the paintings and TV walls in the living room and the metal lighting and stone walls in the dining room could create a spatial dialogue and harmonize all the elements in the space.
Design Challenge
The living room is decorated with a warm color scheme to create an elegant and enjoyable spatial presentation. In contrast, the dining area is decorated with metal and marble patterns to demonstrate light and elegant texture. Also, the stone table is placed as a bar table, providing a space for wine tasting or reading. Besides, the titanium-plated antique brass wall extends inward, and behind the wall is the space for the collection room. Moving slowly to the bedrooms, the designer uses lines to handle different materials, from wood latticework walls to bandage bedside walls to Venetian blinds, allowing linear patterns to add a sense of visual layering.
Sustainability
The house has external windows in both public and private areas, allowing a large amount of natural light. Accordingly, it is not necessary to turn on the lights during the daytime, and it can satisfy the users' demand for light, thus reducing the use of lamps, prolonging their life span, reducing electricity consumption, and achieving the idea of energy saving and carbon reduction.
