Project Overview

The overall residence planning, through the pure color scheme setting with wood and stone texture, conveys a stylish minimalist style. In addition, the designer's exquisite ingenuity in the details has made the elegance of the house so well delivered. The glass doors and windows are appropriately placed in the space to make the house look bright and cozy. To put it bluntly, the layout is based on the concept of reducing excessive decoration, presenting a simple and atmospheric sensory experience.

Project Brief

The American musician and composer Charles Mingus once said, “Making the simple complicated is commonplace; making the complicated simple, awesomely simple, that's creativity.” To elaborate, Minimalism is not only a form of art creation but also a design method for space. As far as this project is concerned, the primary spatial focus is the pure color setting of black, white, and gray. Besides, the modern minimalist style of the house is carried out together with stone texture and wood elements. The designer cleverly uses wood to blend into cold carriers, making the space warm and soft and immersing people in a comfortable living environment.

Project Need

The dark wood grain is used at the entryway as the pattern on the wall, and the curved column is separated into a storage counter in the middle section. At the junction of the foyer and the ceiling in the shared living area, the wood grain texture is extended vertically to the endpoint to develop the visual senses. The white-gray granite wall panel at the end of the sight line becomes a conceptional scene, highlighting the elegant and grand texture. In the open living and dining room, black and white tones with wood are set as the primary spatial focus. On top of that, the built-in air conditioner is concealed in the ceiling, making the overall visual experience spacious and sharp. The TV wall is cut out with a fine curved surface, and the delicate texture accentuates the elegant style of the living room. Towards the dining room, the color scheme of black and white is continued, and the sense of streamlined lines is emphasized.

Design Challenge

On the other side of the living room, one will notice that the designer has converted the original study layout into a guest room to satisfy the owner's need for an extra resting space. The two-way door with an iron frame and glass piece is used to define the room, and the sunlight travels into the room through the glass, making the interior space spacious and bright. On the other hand, the master bedroom, with a gray color scheme and wood grain texture, through appropriate color planning, demonstrates a comfortable living area with calmness and restraint. Also, the marble-grained veneer on the dressing table is practical, durable, and stylish in texture.

Sustainability

The residence is equipped with large glass windows and double glass doors to introduce sunlight into the room to meet the demand for lighting, reducing the use of lighting and extending the product life of electric lights. Moreover, it reduces power consumption and realizes the idea of energy saving and carbon reduction.
