Project Overview

For this project, the designer has set the elegant and beautiful American style as the theme, and rather than presenting the layers of complex lines, the designer has brought contemporary fashion and iconic elements to polish the spatial texture. Moreover, the furniture and decorations are exquisitely selected and planned so that the seemingly simple and pure residential space has extraordinarily charming details, making every corner of the space enjoyable and comfortable.

Project Brief

A residence reflects the character, taste, and personality of the homeowner, and it stimulates one’s curiosity to discover this beautiful world. The homeowner of this project is a business retailer of Baker, a famous American furniture brand. Considering the homeowner's taste in home decoration, his philosophy of healthy and stress-free life, and his preference for low-key elegance and simplicity, the primary living was carefully planned with a soft and gentle color configuration. It combines stone and wood texture, beautiful lighting, and art paintings, which realize the homeowner's desired look of a relaxed residence. By doing so, the homeowner will be able to block out the hustle and bustle of the city and return to a calm and peaceful pace of life.

Project Innovation/Need

Entering the foyer, the crystal-clear floor lamp stands elegantly next to the shoe chair, foreshadowing the spatial style of the room. Among them, the chairs are arranged with cylindrical bars, showing the uniqueness of design details. Light-colored wood panelling is planned on the floor in the shared living space to add a sense of visual hierarchy. The TV wall in the living room is made of light-colored marble, creating an elegant and grand atmosphere. Green plants are added to the space to create a natural and comfortable living atmosphere. Towards the dining space, bamboo and rattan chairs with black lines are placed with a gray marble dining table to enjoy a unique dining time through the collision of different materials. On the other side of the kitchen, the restaurant’s color scheme is continued with some metal accessories, adding a touch of modern simplicity.

Design Challenge

Moving slowly to the private living area, one will realize that the bedroom is set in gray and white as the main color scheme, complemented by a touch of wooden tone to create a quiet and comfortable relaxing vibe, providing residents with high-quality sleeping space. The dark stone is planned in the bathroom to pave the space, and metallic objects are introduced, demonstrating a luxurious and refreshing bathing area.

Sustainability

Through the designers' delicate planning of the layout and movement lines, the interior space is well-ventilated and bright. And it maintains a good temperature, humidity, and air quality in the residence. Other than that, this project has been certified as a green renovation because the designer has implemented the four major environmentally friendly aspects, including healthy living, ecological health, human-centered health, and "global sustainability, offering residents a healthy and comfortable living space.
