My Ideal House has been designed to meet the changing needs of a modern family, embracing sustainability, flexibility and liveability at an affordable price point.
Though it occupies a modest footprint on a 416sqm allotment, the home has been future-proofed with the inclusion of a delightful multi-purpose room that can see a family through many life phases, including a multi-generational household.
The modular design allows the home’s layout to be easily adapted to different orientations so that living areas enjoy generous exposure to northern sunlight, irrespective of lot orientation.
It is a home designed to promote health and happiness, encouraging an indoor-outdoor lifestyle, easy interaction between its occupants and an openness to the wider community. It is polite towards its neighbours, the single storey rear living pavilion respectful of privacy and avoiding overshadowing.
A solar passive home, additional sustainability measures include solar roof panels and battery storage, LED lighting, double-glazed windows and sustainably sourced materials.
My Ideal House was designed for the project home buyer market and built at Mirvac’s CREST masterplanned community in the fast-growing suburb of Gledswood Hills in Sydney’s south-west. Its overwhelming intent was to present the benefits of good design over size to a house-proud but price sensitive market.
Harold Park

Respect and reinterpretation of traditional Inner West values was the creative inspiration for Harold Park. Eight years of staged development later, Harold Park has reimagined urban life for residents and unlocked a new green village heart for the wider community.
Seven new residential buildings harness a mix of innovative architectural solutions to sit low and comfortably in the landscape, anchored by a unique retail centrepiece Tramsheds together with 3.8 hectares of new public parkland.
These distinct new built forms achieve a cohesive aesthetic that complement the surrounding urban fabric, heritage elements, park and sandstone cliff face. The adaptive reuse of the former home of the Rozelle Tram Depot into a vibrant European-style marketplace allows visual interpretation of the site’s cultural significance.
The new parkland connects Forest Lodge, Glebe, Annandale and the harbour foreshore, unlocking a new community heart.
Form, space and ambience of the site engage new residents and established neighbours and unify these community emotionally, socially and physically.
South Village Opening Event, Kirrawee

Sutherland Shire’s brand new shopping centre, South Village, was given a big tick by its first shoppers when the retail precinct officially opened for business in November 2018.
Many people were already in the centre when anchor tenant Coles opened its doors for customers at 7.30 in the morning and they continued to pour into the centre all through the day, with all outlets doing a brisk trade.
The mid-morning official opening was marked by a traditional Welcome to Country and a colourful ribbon-cutting ceremony with representatives from PAYCE, Mirvac, DeiCorp and Sutherland Shire Council, along to musical accompaniment provided by the Kirrawee High School Jazz Orchestra.
There were plenty of activities through the day to keep visitors of all ages entertained and the celebrations will continue over the opening week, including live music, face painting, yoga sessions, and a pop-up cinema.
