Project Brief

The key is to line up the indented gap between the master’s bedroom and the kitchen via the adjustment of the two-way door with the order of lines and different materials composition, thereby creating the continuous layers of the sofa back wall in the living room to infinitely extend towards the right; three doors are used along the way to ingeniously integrate the master’s bedroom, the secondary bedroom and the kitchen…etc., while also increasing the practical functions such as the half tall cabinet and the refrigerator installation for the master’s bedroom and the kitchen.

Project Innovation/Need

Black mirrors are installed on the wall at the right-hand side of the foyer by the entrance to expand the depth of field, while the shoe area on the left is integrated with the tall cabinet; the ceiling applied intersected linear light strips for convergence and welcoming the guests, guiding the circulation indoors in a low-profile approach.

Design Challenge

After corresponding to the on-site criteria to substantially complete the functional aspects, the second phase has selected grey-toned materials that are easy to clean based on the house owner’s preferences, such as thin tiles with artificial stone patterns, black mirrors, glass and coatings…etc., together with light luxurious elements including exquisite indirect lighting, grey mirrors and titanium-plated decoration strips…etc.

Sustainability

To optimize the quality of the details, thereby creating a clean and majestic modern simplified style with classic black, white and grey, while the different venues are endowed with spatial, tranquil or cozy scenario charisms via the performance of the materials combinations, such as the proportional arrangement of the rose-dust colored headboard in the master’s bedroom and the symmetric grey mirror.
