Project Brief

Vinomofo and Concept collaborated to create an engaging yet practical working environment that gave a subtle nod to the wine industry in which they live and breathe.

Vinomofo sought an environment that supported their mission to unite their tribe with a love of wine, food and adventure; to have a positive impact and achieve all of this with a great sense of fun! A space where they could celebrate and socialise, as well as concentrate, was crucial. The refurbished soap factory provided an industrial feel, while wine was, of course, the star.

Project Innovation/Need

Concept designers took innovative steps to ensure that throughout the office space, wine was the understated hero.

This award-winning* office included rounded booths representing the shape and texture of wine barrels, a sloped grass roof on the boardroom evoking a vineyard environment, a kitchen reminiscent of a wine cellar, and a custom-made wine rack as a hero entrance piece, all shining a light on their core ethos.

Design Challenge

There was a concern surrounding their colossal ceilings causing echoes in the base building, and making the division of the space problematic.

Concept addressed this concern by using a combination of acoustic screens between workstations and custom pendants that helped soften the noise.

Sustainability

Vinomofo was committed to recycling items of furniture from their old space where possible.

For example, their beautiful feature bar, a hero piece when you enter the space, was repurposed from their old office.
